What’s going on?
The Annual Sooke Spirit Festival is just around the corner. The festival includes an afternoon of fun with the Santa Clause Parade, along with music, crafters, concessions, great local shopping. The festivities continue into the evening with the second annual inner harbour Sail Past – a floating procession of vessels lighting up the night sky with.
Who’s invited?
Everyone in the Sooke to Port Renfrew region is invited to take part in this fabulously fun holiday event, hosted by the Sooke Harbour Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit #37 Sooke, and the District of Sooke.
Where is everything taking place?
The main events take place in the heart of downtown Sooke:
- Spirit Shopping: great shopping all day, with parade concessions opening at 1:30; check brochure for full details
- Sooke Santa Clause Parade:begins at 2:30 and traveling down Sooke Road
- Sooke Sail Past:enjoy the inner harbour parade of lights from the Rotary peer and Whiffin Spit
- Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra:7:30pm performance of Bach's Christmas Oratorio in the Sooke Community Theatre
When is it?
The countdown has begun! The Annual Sooke Spirit Festival takes place on Saturday, December 5, 2009.
Why should I take part?
Because this is one event you won’t want to miss! There’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit than by taking part in the Sooke Spirit Festival!
As well, aside from fun and entertainment, all proceeds go towards supporting our local charities.
